Advertising — Meta Pixel

WhichFlick uses the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) to understand how people use the site and to measure advertising. It sets Meta's own advertising cookies in your browser and sends Meta events for things like viewing a film's case file, tracing a full story, and clicking through to a streaming or trailer link.

This data is collected and processed by Meta under its own privacy policy, not stored by WhichFlick. If you use an ad blocker or browser privacy setting that blocks Meta's pixel, the site works exactly the same — nothing here is required for search results to function.

What we store

When a film or series is identified, WhichFlick saves the result — title, year, cast, summary, streaming info, and its documented lineage of remakes and sequels — in our own database. This is so the same title doesn't have to be re-researched every time someone looks it up; it is not a record of who searched for what.

We do not create user accounts, and we do not store your scene description or search text alongside your identity.

TheTVDB

Poster and backdrop artwork is sourced exclusively from TheTVDB, used under attribution. No other artwork source is used.

No video, ever

WhichFlick identifies titles and links to official viewing platforms. No video is hosted, embedded, or streamed on this site, from any source, at any time.
